Vehicle Description
Vintage, rugged, practical, and attractive... You can use any of
those confident words (and many more) to describe this 1991 Ford
F-150 XLT Lariat 4x4. It's the versatile classic truck that comes
loaded with everything you want from an A/C interior to an
overdrive transmission. And it has the big V8 and all the right
features to keep this classic working hard, too.
We really are beginning to fully appreciate the beefy/boxy lines
that make this generation F-150 such a great pickup. And since this
is a true classic, it's nice to have what appears to be the
original red paint. In fact, the truck is believed to be a one-town
North Carolina truck its whole life thus far, and the odometer is
even believed to reflect the full actual mileage. You can use the
value price to update or personalize the paintwork and body if you
like, but there's always something attractive about a southern
small town pickup with an earned appearance. The premium XLT Lariat
trim package added a pleasing amount of brightwork to the truck,
including the chrome bumpers and the 15-inch polished wheels. There
are nice details like the full-length strobe pinstriping and proper
4x4 decals. But the best feature of them all is the work-ready
attitude. There's a thick rubber guard on the tailgate, wide towing
mirrors, and a proper trailer hitch with a wiring plug.
The XLT Lariat trim also means a premium interior. For example, the
bench is finished in a comfy cloth. Not only does it have
bucket-like bolstering, but also the folding armrest means you get
true individual comfort when not carrying three across. This has a
full gauge package, and the handy tach and overdrive cancel button
are great for when it's time to tow the toys. This also has the
best comfort features, like power windows, power locks, cruise
control, and the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo. And while the air
conditioner is blowing cold, we know you also won't be able to
resist sliding the rear window to get your breezes the
old-fashioned way.
Under the hood is a quite stock engine bay, and you'll be happy to
show this off because only the best trucks came with the optional
5.8-liter V8. This fuel-injected heart was the one you wanted when
it was time to get the job done. This is nicely paired with the
go-anywhere ability of the two-speed 4x4 transfer case and Falken
Wildpeak tires. It's a well-maintained package that starts readily,
idles smoothly, and runs strong. The four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive means this one is great for the highway
miles, too. This anytime usability is heightened further by good
driving features like power steering, power brakes, and front
discs.
This is the perfect mix of rugged and comfortable. It's the cool
classic that still knows how to earn its keep. So you already know
you're going to have to act fast to take this one home. Call
