Excellent from Top to Bottom

  • Paint and Body

The excellent quality of the Raven Black re-spray of this hardtop coupe makes you think you’re in the showroom at the Ford dealership back in 1956.    The body is straight and the panel gaps appear correct.

The chrome and stainless trim is all in excellent condition, with the chrome “crown” setting off the elegance of this all black car.

The underside of this is exceptionally clean, with prior reconditioning of the floors and rockers.

  • Interior

The black and white vinyl interior is clean and fresh-looking, and is the perfect complement to the car’s paint scheme.

The headliner looks as new.

The gauges all work properly as do the lights, wipers, turn signals and horn.

  • Engine

The Ford 292 “Thunderbird”  V-8 engine rests in a fully detailed engine compartment.  At the turn of the key the engine comes to life and runs properly.

  • Transmission

The car’s automatic transmission works smoothly.

  • Brakes

The brakes on the Ford bring it to a safe stop without any pulling from side to side.

  • Safety, dependability and Comfort Features

Ford was all about safety in the mid ‘50s with its curved windshield and dish-shaped steering wheel, to name a few.

For convenience and dependability, the 1956 Ford line-up shifted to a 12-volt electrical system.

Power steering and an automatic transmission makes driving this Crown Vic in the city a breeze.

The car has Ford’s stock heating/ventilation system to heat and bring fresh air into the cabin supplemented by a modern air conditioning system.  The original AM radio has been tastefully supplemented with a modern system.

The car has fender skirts and whitewall radial tires to give it added flare.

An Outstanding Example of Ford’s Iconic Crown Victoria Coupe

There is one word that can best describe this 1956 coupe: WOW! Great paint, excellent upholstery, safety and convenience power upgrades, and working air conditioning, all of which make this classic Crown Victoria Fairlane an enjoyable car to drive, a great car at shows as well as a sound investment.  What can’t be quantified is the feeling one gets when sitting behind the wheel of this unique car that is dreamed about by so many other car enthusiasts but owned by so few.
