Vehicle Description
1976 Ford F-250 Highboy for sale Fantastic Truck, new Ford 390
engine (3000 miles, all the paperwork). 4 speed manual, 4 wheel
drive, 4-Lo transfer case. Original Colorado Truck, low amount of
rust for what it is. It's a true Highboy for you die hard Ford fans
like myself. Selling because I have fixed it up and made it run
great, and it's time for a new project. Odometer reads 61,xxx. I am
almost positive that it has rolled over once, but I know for a fact
not twice. Safe bet is 161,000 miles, but all the work has been
done in the last 2000 miles. Specs: Engine: Last summer I had a
ribbed block (very sought after) 390 FE put in it, which is bigger
than the original 360 but still era-correct. It's bored /30 over
though, so it's really a 402 (just shy of 6.6 liter). It's
literally a tank. This truck tows anything. - Holley 670 Avenger
Off-road carburetor with spillover tubes (won't cut out on you when
offroading) - Lunati Voodoo RV Camshaft - fairly smooth idle,
boatloads of torque - Fel-Pro Gaskets - 7 quart deep-style oil pan,
great fit for this application. - HEI distributor, 20 degree
advanced timing, purrs at idle. - Original intake manifold, works
great for this application - In-frame headers, sounds great. No
highway drone either. Other Specs: - Brand new rear disc-brake
conversion, it stops on a dime. - Brand new NP435 transfer case,
4WD works perfectly (and performed well in the Colorado Rockies).
I'm convinced that this thing could climb a tree in Lo-Lo. -
Recently Serviced Transmission, original (shifts perfectly, come
see for yourself). - Recently Serviced differentials, front and
rear. Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear. - Frostbite brand (Holley owned)
4 row radiator, which is extremely overbuilt for this application,
keeps it cool all day long. - New Battery, have receipts - Brand
New 100 amp alternator, done professionally (huge upgrade over the
original 60 amp, plan was to put a winch on it) - Good tires, could
definitely fit bigger ones
