Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1956
Ford Thunderbird. The Ford Thunderbird was first seen by the public
eye February 20th, 1954 at the Detroit Auto Show. After the big
reveal the car hit production by September of 1954 and was
available for purchase one month later selling as the 1955 model.
Although the Thunderbird was designed to directly compete against
GM's C1 Corvette the Thunderbird was not marketed as a sports car
it instead sought to be a more upscale vehicle. Take this 1956
Thunderbird for a weekend cruise on a warm summer evening. Drop off
the top in your garage because it is time to feel the warm breeze
and take in the sunset. The 312 cubic inch V-8 rumbles you through
turns in the countryside of town to your favorite dinner spot. The
thunderbird green paint is a reminder of the creativity the 1950's
delivered in the automotive industry. This car is a ground up body
restoration that was completed at the end of 2019. All bodywork and
paint are professionally done by Muncie imports and classics. The
1956 Ford Thunder Bird features a hard convertible top, spare tire,
power seats, vinyl interior, white walls radial tires. This 1956
Ford Thunderbird is for sale by Gateway Classic Cars Indianapolis
