The last three years of the 80's Porsche 911 Carrera was hands down
the most desirable and highly sought after vehicle for the past
decade. They carry the iconic look of the 911 and also were the
first years of the world famous G50 transmission. The transmission
was stronger and more precise to handle the added stress from the
Turbo version.
We are so excited to bring this very nice 1988 Porsche Carrera
Cabriolet with only 63k miles to the next buyer. These vehicles are
one of the last true German sports car of the air cooled and
mechanical era. They are fun to drive and still look gorgeous. This
car was sold new out Lynch Imports in Chicago IL and instantly
brought out to NJ and NY until 2016. Then it was moved down to New
Mexico for a few years and then onto Oklahoma until a month ago.
All previous owners were very particular with their maintenance and
keeping the car looking great. The car has a great look and
stunning options that you very rarely see.
The car was optioned very well in the Grand Prix White exterior and
Marine Blue leather interior and matching blue soft top. Further
features included; full leather seats ($1,444), raised steering
wheel hub ($65), Reno radio ($153), limited slip differential
($823), Grand Prix white wheels ($295), Sport seats left and right
($552), 16in forged alloy wheels ($748), automatic speed control
($439), and alarm system ($266). This car had an original MSRP of
$58,598.
Vehicle has been nicely cared for and also retains several receipts
of service over many of years and previous ownership. The car comes
with over $10k in service records and a recent clutch replacement,
spark plugs, valve adjustment and fluid change. The radio was sent
out and rebuilt to factory specs and works other than the tape
deck. A/C system was recently serviced as well and works nicely.
Cruise control, power windows, gauges, mirrors and lights were all
working well during our test drive and the shifts were pinpoint
accurate and very smooth. Vehicle comes with a clean CarFax,
factory manual, tool roll, spare collapsible tire, jack, 3 sets of
keys, and compressor. Only modification we noticed was gold Porsche
emblems in the center of wheels instead of painted emblem. The car
is destined to only continue to climb in value and will provide
endless joyful drives for the next owner.
