For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

540 big block, custom chassis and brakes. This one is for the person that wants to drive their car. What I mean by that is this car is set up to perform. From the second you let the clutch out you better be ready! Go see of power, handles like it's on rails and stops on a dime.

EXTERIOR: This car is hot! The colors, wheels, stance and I especially love the stinger hood. The fit and finish is excellent, the body is laser beam straight. There's no signs of rust, the panels fits square. The metal flake paint is laid out evenly, the clear coat is polished very glossy. It features a fiberglass stinger hood, front and rear spoilers and the exterior trim package. It also has the Rally Sport which includes hideaway headlights, they are upgraded with Detroit Speed electric motors. The RS also has the reverse lights mounted below the rear bumper. In front, everything looks new including the grill, chrome trim and bumper. On each side the emblems, door handles, mirrors and all the stainless trim has been replaced. In back the tail lights, bumpers and reverse lights look new. The door jambs are painted real slick, weather strips have been replaced. Front and rear windows are new. Now let's talk about the wheels: $7,000 Forgeline rims with Nitto performance tires. 18s in front, 19s in back and extra, extra wide.

INTERIOR: It's pretty much all new inside. Down on the floor is new carpet and a new factory center console. New deluxe upholstery on the seats. The door panels and armrests have been replaced. New power window switches. Overhead the mirror, visors and headliner are new. The dome light works. In front of me the dash pad and deluxe wheel are new. Upgraded with VHX Dakota gauges. It also has the Retro stereo with an auxiliary plug.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 540 cubic inch big block. It has ported aluminium heads and a Brodix intake. High performance Holley XP black anodized carburetor with premium black fuel fittings and lines. Long tube coated headers. It's dressed up with a nice set of tall valve covers. In front is a one wire alternator, chrome modern power steering with a remote reservoir with braided lines. All new wiring harness. An aluminum radiator with a new fan and shroud keep it running cool. Real nice billet hinges, updated DSE wiper motor. The engine bay is painted real nice. The heater was deleted and there is a carbon fiber panel on the firewall.

TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk is solid metal. It has a fuel cell with an electric pump and braided fuel lines. The battery was relocated to the trunk. The wiring harness looks new. It has glass blue paint under the trunk lid and the jamb. The weatherstrip has been replaced.

UNDERSIDE: Upgraded $8,400 Detroit Speed front end and subframe. It's a powder coated and hydroformed subframe with tubular control arms, tuned coil over shocks, Torrington bearings, splined anti roll bar with composite bushings, forged drop spindles and a tuned rack & pinion steering. Welded and counter sunk frame connectors tie the front to the back making it a full frame. This is the beefiest rear end set up I've ever seen on a Camaro! The rear suspension was custom built by Teddy Houser race cars. It has relocated fat tubular chrome control arm system and panhard bar. Adjustable coil over gas shocks. The bottom of the motor is clean, has an anodized oil pan and a high torque starter. The Muncie 4-speed looks fresh. The rear end is a substantially reinforced Fab 9 with welded tubular supports. Full 3 inch stainless exhaust with X-pipe, welded seams and Magnaflow mufflers. Upgraded Baer brake system with drilled and slotted rotors and big red calipers at all 4 wheels. The floors are all solid metal painted black. It has mini tubs to accommodate the wide tires.

This is the beauty and the beast. Drop dead looks and ground pounding muscle. It can handle it, the question is can you?
