Vehicle Description
This 1940 Chevrolet Super Deluxe is one of those custom coupes
where you know they took extra time and thought in the details.
There's a sleek all-steel body. The interior has leather-lined A/C
comfort. There's extra shine on the powerful V8. And not only is
the undercarriage painted, but there's also an upgraded suspension
and four-wheel disc brakes.
The glossy maroon on the curvaceous coupe's body looks impressive.
It brings out the details, and there's plenty of metallic element
in there to give it a glow out in the sunlight. This is a very
custom car, but the steel body doesn't appear to be chopped or
modified in any way. And why would you? The Master Deluxe is
already one of the most handsome cars of the era, with tidy
proportions, cool fared-in headlights, and a well-proportioned
profile. Bodywork is first-rate, with a lot of extra care taken in
getting the gaps right. Add on top of that are some nice custom
touches like the clear headlights and frenched license plate. It
also cannot be a true American custom car without some great
chrome, so the factory elements like the full-length trim, bumpers,
and tall grille have a bright shine. Finish it off with Billet
Specialties wheels to add more shine to the midsection, and the
17/18-inch front/rear size gives this Chevy an aggressive
forward-leaning stance.
You couldn't ask for a better place to spend some time than a fresh
interior finished in leather upholstery. The front bucket seats are
more comfortable than anything from the 1940s, and they have good
details like the large headrests and fold-down armrests. You get a
custom sports steering wheel mounted on a tilt column. Beyond that
is the cool blue glow of the full gauge package. While this is
obviously a driver's car, you have the passenger seat and rear
seats for a reason. Keep your company in comfort with modern R134a
air conditioning, power windows, and the AM/FM digital stereo with
aux input.
Cruising is easy thanks to the 350 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. It
presents nicely with the smooth color-matching firewall and plenty
of polished components. But more than just look great, this has
some nice performance upgrades, too. This V8 has an Edelbrock AVS 2
four-barrel carburetor, upgraded intake, and a nice set of shorty
headers feeding the dual exhaust. A car like this was made to be a
terrific cruiser. That's why you have upgrades like the Mustang
II-style independent front suspension, power steering, a
three-speed automatic transmission, and four-wheel power disc
brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.
This 1940 Chevy coupe doesn't just look great, it feels great on
the road, too. So as you're checking off your list of an ideal
classic, you'll soon realize that this Super Deluxe is the cruiser
that offers it all. Call today!!!
