For Sale: 1965 Chevrolet Corvette in Lithia Springs, Georgia

Vehicle Description

You know the 1965 Chevrolet Corvette was the first year for the big block V8, and this one carries an even bigger surprise under the hood. But more than just a motor, this has an aggressive look with side pipes, a custom A/C interior, and upgraded five-speed. It all makes for a classic coupe that maximizes the fun.

The red on this car is an upgrade later in life. So while this is a legendary color for Corvettes, this one makes sure to have a proper luster. It's meant to draw attention in and show off the aggressive lines. This one has been upgraded in some subtle ways. After all, the debut of the big block car also meant the debut of the big block hood, but this one borrows the shapely Stinger one later Sting Rays. And while the side pipes also debuted in '65, the integrated header in this one really amps up the intimidation factor. And those upgraded torque thrust style wheels add both shine and better tires, but they still look appropriate thanks to the Corvette racing flag center caps.

Just like the exterior, the interior mixes in the right upgrades into the vintage setup. It starts with the colors. Black always looks good on a sports car, but this gives it a nice stylish touch with red inserts on the doors, console, and seats. The whole layout has a fresh feel of a proper investment, right down to the smoothness of the dual cowl dash. There's added convenience that's also well-integrated. There's a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette in the Corvette's vertical radio housing. It is accompanied by upgraded stereo speakers and a CD changer. There's also a cup holder center console and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The steering wheel is on a tilt column to give you a good view of the full gauge package. And you'll notice there's an extra gear on the stick shift.

When you open the hood, the motor radiates with power...literally. The big shine on all the components will be impressive, and people will also love that this is said to be a 427 cubic-inch V8. So it's a bigger big block than what was available in 1968. It has been upgraded further with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, a one-inch spacer, and Edelbrock mid-rise intake. And the header-fed side pipes mean extra power and extra rumble. There's even a dyno sheet for all the specs. This also has the right supporting components, like an MSD ignition, serpentine belt system, and a large Be Cool aluminum radiator w/electric fan. The upgraded five-speed manual transmission gives you full control over the monster motor. And because the C2 is a true sports car, you also have a fully independent suspension, power steering, and four-wheel power disc brakes.

This is the distinctive Sting Ray with a greatly enhanced heart and the five-speed to make the most of it. Don't let something this special slip away, call today!
