investment for your garage. These highly sought after VW Campers
are impressive, large enough for a small family and easy to work on
and find parts. These Campers are heavily sought after and never a
dull moment when driving them.
Offered here is a nicely reconditioned 1970 VW Westy Campmobile.
These trusty and fun buses were the rage in the 70's and were
dotted across the landscape here in the US. This vehicle was
recently gone thru by a knowledgeable VW fan that enjoys bringing
these back to life. Here is a compiled list from him that he
recently replaced, fixed or added:
Stripped and sanded and repainted in Deep London Blue (non-factory
paint)
New battery tray and front outer floors replaced
New Baltic Birch door panels, headliner, and kick panels
New vinyl flooring in rear of vehicle
Reupholstered front seats and rear bench and new cushions in blue
vinyl
New camper top canvas, seals, hold downs and hardware
New windshield seals, window seals, door seals and front window
scrapers
New upper brake fluid reservoir, master cylinder, brake lines, and
brake shoes
New front turn signals and headlights
Engine bearings replaced, newer Bocar carb and matching DVDA
distributor
New BOSCH cap, rotor, points and spark plugs
New belt on generator and Sachs pressure plate and clutch
New tires and painted wheels with half-moon chrome hub caps
Transaxle rebuilt about 2yrs ago and recently adjusted and
serviced
Getting in one of these and just going exploring is what life is
all about. These are a joy to drive and always provide endless
stories and experiences as life is journey. Vehicle has full
cabinets, sink (not hooked up), dual exhaust, folding tables (2),
and a kid cot that is in average condition along with the hardware
fastners for adult cot up top.
