Vehicle Description
Some Camaros are built to look mean, but this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro
RS is out to remind you that performance can also be classy. It's a
real-deal Rally Sport with terrific features, including V8 power
and an A/C interior. And it's in the perfect coordinating
combination of colors inside and out to be the smartest looking
vintage muscle machine out there.
The color theme was done with style in mind. Granada Gold is a
year-correct color, and it sets a sophisticated tone for the car.
It was done about eight years ago, and that creates an ideal
situation where there's an excellent shine in the sunlight, but
with the right amount of aged-in style to make it look factory. A
correct black vinyl top was added around the same time to
complement the gold paint quite nicely. That kicks off a
coordinating black with the D91 sport stripe and front chin
spoiler. And of course, there's the blackout look to the hidden
headlight RS front end. It all seems to make for a look that
balances sportiness and sophistication. And because this V8 Camaro
is still a speedy machine at heart, you have iconic Camaro features
like the hood vent trim, D80 rear spoiler, and shiny Rally wheel
package.
All the black accenting on the outside gets you ready for a full
black interior. Key areas like the carpeting and headliner have a
fresh and inviting style. Plus, the deluxe seats with white trim
look crisply new, too. The trim tag is great to have on a car like
this because it tells us that it's not only a real-deal Rally
Sport, but it also says that this had rare items, like a rear
defogger from the factory. This has also been upgraded for modern
convenience with an AM/FM digital tuner w/iPod input, upgraded
stereo speakers, and cold-blowing air conditioning. This coupe is
also a true driver's machine. That's why you have bucket seats up
front with a center console in-between. The RS steering wheel is
mounted on a tilt column to give you a clear view of the large
speedo and tach, and there's a full auxiliary gauge package on the
console.
Under the hood is a year-correct 327 cubic-inch V8. It's a tidy
look that's nicely detailed with polished pieces like the Chevrolet
valve covers, a matching air grabber, and fender supports. It's
built for good power with upgrades like an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, a mid-rise intake, and headers feeding the H-pipe dual
exhaust. You'll also spot good supporting components like a newer
radiator that was recently flushed and steel braided lines w/AN
fittings. This coupe was made to be a better all-around drive, too.
That's why you'll spot upgraded power brakes with an upgraded
proportioning valve, and the three-speed automatic transmission
recently had a $1,100 service to keep it shifting smoothly. There's
also power steering, front disc brakes, and wide BF Goodrich
T/As.
Elegance meets performance in this first-year Camaro RS. It even
comes with plenty of documentation like the original warranty card,
owner's manual, maintenance records, and build receipts. This is
your golden opportunity at a cool gold coupe. Call today!!!
