For Sale: 1957 Ford Thunderbird in Clarksburg, Maryland

Vehicle Description

***** LOCATED IN CONNECTICUT ****** Eric's Muscle Cars is proud to offer this 57 Baby Bird !! Always Garage kept this 57 comes with the original drivetrain front to back and includes power windows !! A headturner at any cruise or show this is a must have for any Thunderbird lover ! This Baby Bird was bought on July 18,2011 from a private owner in Trumbull Connecticut. I do have the original sales receipt when the original owner purchased the car in 1957, who lived in Los Angeles California. Body and Accessories: The car was ordered with the following options, Hard top, E color, Pos Action Wipers, Fordomatic Drive, Electric Windows, Dialamatic Electric Seat, which is a rare option, Signal Seek Radio, Heater/Defroster, Back up Lights, and Full Wheel Covers. Just a note, to my knowledge this car was always a non-Smoking Car. I had the convertible top replaced when I first bought the car at an upholstery shop in Trumbull ct. and had the body repainted soon after, not that it really needed to be repainted, it had some minor scratches and paint fade, and wanted to remove the snaps that fasten the Tonneau Cover at the doors, just something I did not want to have on the doors. New England Collision at 465 Derby Avenue West Haven Ct. painted the car. Hardtop: The Original Hardtop is in great condition although never repainted, the paint very acceptable. The previous owner had a new headliner installed and is in excellent condition. I never did put the hardtop on the car since I only drive the car in the summer months and enjoy the car with the convertible top down. The hardtop is stored on the aftermarket T-bird hand truck, and the top and hand truck goes along with the car. Drive train: The car is a D code by the numbers and has the original 312 Cubic inch engine, with 4- Barrel Carburetor. It became obvious after looking at the car closely and driving the car that the motor was rebuilt by a previous owner, although none of those records were passed along when I bought the car. I had the Carburetor rebuilt, and the exhaust replaced. I have been driving the car for the past 10 years and put approximately 13,000 miles on it. The car runs excellent and does not burn any oil between oil changes. It was also obvious that the transmission was overhauled by a previous owner, but again those records were not passed along. The transmission shifts well, and the car runs excellent. Brakes: I had the brake system all checked out, new brakes installed, and the master cylinder rebuilt, some of the mechanical work was done at Mild to wild Automotive a shop at 217 derby Avenue Orange Ct. and other local shops in my area. Interior: The interior is in great condition and is very comfortable. I have the accessory Tonneau Cover, and many optional covers that go along with the car
