STK 2952 1977 Chevrolet Corvette
This 1976 Corvette T-Top has had a partial restoration back to
original. It is a very, very fine example of the C3. The current
owner has provided history, photos and receipts for most
restoration work done along with the original Owners Manual, '77
marketing literature, Service Manual and Assembly Manual. Exterior
body panels and gaps are excellent and the front/rear bumper covers
look virtually new. The 2-stage respray of Classic White (2011) was
professionally done and is in very good condition. The refreshed
Buckskin Tan interior is in excellent condition. Leather seats,
carpeting, door cards and dash-pad are all outstanding. The
Corvette is equipped with air conditioning, power tinted windows,
tilt/telescopic wheel and AM/FM stereo. (The cruise control
function is current inop.) Weather stripping and T-Top fit are
excellent. The owner believes that the engine is the factory L-48
350ci (L code) small block and has furnished photos of the matching
numbers on the engine block. The L-48 was the base motor in '77 and
was rated at 185HP with a Quadrajet 4-barrel and spark delivered by
a GM HEI electronic ignition. It is said to have never been rebuilt
and appears to be exactly as factory installed. An upgraded
aluminum radiator has been fitted. The transmission is the optional
TH350 3-speed TurboHydramatic that has been mated to a new B&M
(BBM-20400) torque converter w/2,000rpm stall. Power is transferred
to a factory posi-traction differential with gearing likely to be
the standard 3.08:1 with the TH350 transmission. The exhaust system
is stock with new free-flowing mufflers. A rust-free chassis is
rock solid and both front and rear suspension is stock. Front
suspension upper control arms/ball joints have been replaced and
BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires are mounted on factory 15" cast
aluminum wheels (code YJ8). The C3 was delivered from the factory
with the FE7 Gymkhana Suspension Package. Steering is power
assisted as are 4-wheel disc brakes with new calipers (Wilwood
front/GM rear) and a new master cylinder. This is a really nice
Corvette that has been restored back to original '77 condition. You
will be hard pressed to find a better C3 of this model and it is
