Vehicle Description
This real-deal 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is already pretty darn
desirable. But when you see this has the correct factory color
combination and numbers-matching V8, then it starts to become a
truly rare collectible. And the cherry on top is you get to enjoy
it all from the comfort of an A/C interior.
Butternut Yellow is the factory-correct color. It was already quite
bright, but this example benefits from a more recent respray that
really gives it a nice glow. It provides the perfect backdrop to
highlight the contrasting black bumblebee stripe, premium black
vinyl top, and blacked-out hidden headlights of the Rally Sport
front end. The overall effect is almost like a two-tone that's both
aggressive and attractive. In fact, the trim tag tells us this was
not only born with the RS package, but also it's a true Super
Sport! So it's one of the few that get to wear the hood trim and SS
badging with true original pride. And speaking of pride, the chrome
bumpers and all the trim were recently refreshed, so the whole car
radiates with the look of top care.
The black interior goes well with all the black accents of the
exterior. But because this is a factory deluxe setup, it's not a
complete sea of darkness. Not only do you get the crisp white
accenting on the upholstery, but this also means premium door
panels with full armrest. It may seem like a little thing, but it's
the details that really make this interior exceptional. Good
carpeting, a taut headliner, and a smooth dash make the interior
feel inviting. Front bucket seats, a center console, auxiliary
gauges, and a large speedo and tach setup all combine to make this
a great driver's classic. And they really want to keep the vintage
atmosphere in this RS/SS. That's why the Delco AM/FM radio is still
cranking out tunes, and the air conditioning was upgraded to modern
R134a refrigerant, but it uses the stock controls.
The 350 cubic-inch V8 under the hood has a stock style, and that's
for a very good reason. This is the verified numbers-matching
motor. But originality doesn't mean missing out on the big
investments, and the way this one fires up and runs reaffirms good
care. The Powerglide automatic transmission is also believed to be
original to this coupe, and it was rebuilt within the last few
years to remain a smooth shifter. Power steering, power brakes, and
a modern tread behind those classic redline tires are all part of
what makes this true classic a true cruiser, too.
Complete with owner's manual, this is the rare opportunity at a
true RS/SS coupe, and it's presented with the kind of investments
that let you drive with pride on day one. Call now!
