Vehicle Description
Jeeps can often be just as much about looking chic as they are
about being capable of handling any terrain. So with a premium
vintage style, well-finished A/C interior, full hardtop package,
lifted stance, and enhanced V8, you can really do it all in this
1981 Jeep CJ7.
The Laredo package is one way to instantly stand out with a premium
style. And this one has a carefully crafted appearance. It has
averaged only about 2,200 miles annually, and the Cameo Tan paint
is not only factory correct, but also it shows the right signs to
be original to this Jeep. The smooth finish today really sets the
tone for an upper-class CJ that has led a well-respected life so
far. The same quality presentation goes for the hardtop, too. And
this one seems to really want to show off a terrific combination of
beauty and brawn. The full tan stripes goes over the wheel wells so
that draws extra attention to the flared fenders. And it seems like
a similar case where there's added polish to draw attention to the
meaty tires and strong tubular bumpers.
Step inside and there are more clear indications that this Jeep has
led a good life. The interior is fairly original with some nice
worthwhile upgrades. The factory front bucket seats have plenty of
high-back comfort. The floor has plush brown carpeting that feels
more polished inside than other CJs, and it helps insulate from
noise. But the rugged plastic floor mats means muddy shoes are not
going to be a problem. There's a locking comfortable center console
with cup holders, soft grip steering wheel, power steering, tall
gearshift, and full gauges w/tach to keep this feeling like a great
driver. The whole interior is in great condition, but of course
that's the advantage of having a hardtop and steel doors that seal
the cabin from bad weather. But on the days when everything is
looking sunny, you can still stay comfortable while open to the
world thanks to the ultra-desirable cold-blowing air
conditioning.
The 304 cubic-inch V8 was the largest motor they offered for these
CJ7s, but this one takes it a step further. It has a Quick Fuel
four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and a set of headers
feeling those fun side pipes. And while you'll like the power,
don't forget to notice the more recent fundamentals, like the newer
distributor cap, wires and plugs. It's what keeps this one of the
smoothest running/driving Jeeps we've seen in a while. And while
this is nice on the road, as a true Jeep, it's always down for an
adventure. The lifted suspension, new BF Goodrich All terrain
tires, and two-speed transfer case mean this is always ready for
4x4 duty.
This is an amazingly correct and loaded Jeep. It has been properly
taken care of all its life, and we even have the owner's manual and
factory handbooks to prove it. Call today!!!
