Vehicle Description
1980 Triumph TR8 for sale! Motorcar Classics is pleased to present
this rare 1980 Triumph TR8 roadster featured in Dark Green with tan
interior and black convertible top. Triumph introduced the TR8 in
1980, powered by the aluminum Buick/Oldsmobile/Pontiac designed
215CI V-8 that was manufactured by Rover and which powers numerous
model Range Rovers, Morgan Plus 8s, and other British cars. It is
mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The TR8 cockpit is reasonably
comfortable. Wider and more spacious than the TR4 series and TR6
cars. In its period, the ride, handling, braking and fuel economy
were deemed excellent by Road amp; Track. Our car features AC and
the engine has been upgraded with headers, Offenhsauser valve
covers, Edelbrock intake manifold and 4-barrel carburetor. These
are proven performance components that bring out the best of this
popular V8. The car is quick and a delight to drive. In this months
issue, Sports Car Market selected the TR8 as a car to buy now in
the buy-sell-hold feature. Our car has mostly original paint, and
original interior, and it is one of the nicest survivors we have
seen of all the TR7 and TR8 models.
