Restored with very desirable upgrades and some very unique
features. It has updated motor, trans, a/c etc to make it a much
better performing truck.
EXTERIOR: It has some custom body features I've never seen on any
truck before. The front bumper was removed and replaced with a
custom fabricated valance with air scoop and spoiler. In back the
bumper was eliminated and replaced with a custom roll pan with
recessed license plate. It also has a one of a kind spoiler
fabricated on top of the tailgate and bed corners. It has a metal
cowl hood. The fuel filler was very cleverly relocated behind the
marker light that opens on a hinge. The body gaps are square.
Repainted in attention getting grabber blue, it is polished smooth
and glossy. Jambs are painted. New door latches, doors unlock with
keyless entry. All the glass is new, they eliminated the vent
window for a cleaner look. All the gaskets and weatherstrips were
replaced. The grill, headlight bezels and door handles look like
new. It has custom quad projector sealed beam lights. It rolls on
20 inch American Racing torque thrust wheels.
INTERIOR: The inside of the cab was painted gray. Then it got new
carpet and embroidered mats on the floor. Custom made door panels
with billet handles. Very comfortable, adjustable bucket seats with
a homemade center console with cup holders, floor shifter, storage
and power window switches. In front of me is a complete set of
white face gauges including a tachometer. It has a touch screen
pioneer stereo with back up camera. There is a JBL amplifier,
speakers in the kick panels and console, tweeters on the doors and
a sub woofers between each seat. It has a great looking custom
steering wheel on a tilt column. The dome light works. It has a
push button starter and USB ports.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 6.0-360 hp Vortec 6000 aluminum V-8 motor. It
has fuel injection, 243 heads, hotter cam and stainless headers.
The components are all updated- alternator, power steering,
serpentine belt system and a Vintage Air heat and a/c system. New
power brake system. The engine bay is a smooth satin black
finish.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the bed is all refinished. The sides are
clean straight metal sprayed in a body color bed liner. The floor
has new wood, painted steel slats and new hardware.
UNDERSIDE: The body was off the frame. It has a lowered suspension.
It has drop spindles and lowering springs. We just spent $1,064 at
the front end shop getting it aligned, new lower control arm
bushings, outer tie rod and remounting the steering box. It has
upgraded sway bar. In back it has a sway bar, gas shocks and new
springs. The custom dual exhaust system has MagnaFlow stainless
steel mufflers and turn down tips. It has disc brakes in front.
Looking up at the motor it's all aluminum, has high torque starter.
Upgraded 4L60E overdrive automatic trans. The rear end is a 12 bolt
with 3.73 gears. The floors are rock solid metal.
I think the custom body work is subtle but substantial. You know by
looking at it that the spoilers were hand fabricated, not a catalog
bought add on. The upgraded driveline make it a truck to be
driven.
