Vehicle Description
The fastback profile, stunning paint, two-tone A/C interior,
four-wheel disc brakes, and awesome crate V8 are what highlight
this 1967 Ford Mustang GTA Fastback tribute. And as you keep
looking over every inch, you'll really understand the level of
quality that comes from a six-figure investment in an awesome
restoration.
The pictures show a sharp-looking fastback done with plenty of
attitude... And with only about 3k miles on this build since its
comprehensive restoration, this car is even more striking in
person. A beautiful shade of Wimbledon White has a high-gloss
finish that helps highlight the quality of the body panels. We love
a good fastback, and the '67 car was the right one when you want
speedy style. After all, it gives you the look of the original pony
car but with better a contour to the front and rear. And this one
goes for a true Shelby inspired look with a full racing stripe
package done in blue with plenty of eye-catching metallic. This has
the best GT elements, like the fog lights, GTA badging on the side,
triple rocker stripe, quad exhaust tips, and the GT gas cap. Plus,
this was the debut year for the Deluxe hood with embedded turning
signals. And while American Racing Torq Thrust wheels were around
in 1967, this larger 17-inch size gives this coupe a better stance,
modern tires, and hints at the upgrades within.
If you liked the hint of blue on the outside, then you'll love the
sea of blue waiting inside. We love how the two-tone is intertwined
on the seats, door panels, dash, and more. And since this is both a
comprehensive and fresh build, everything has a clean and quality
feeling, right down to the plush carpeting. There was an eye here
to give you the best in vintage details, like the center console,
overhead light console, and a fold-flat rear seat. But they also
integrated the right details. For example, the radio looks like a
classic unit, but it's a modern AM/FM digital tuner with Bluetooth,
and it even connects to a satellite radio controller hidden below
it. While air conditioning was an option in '67, this one now keeps
you cool with a newer system running modern R134a refrigerant. And
while the steering wheel has the classic Mustang logo, it's a
modern and grippy one mounted on an updated column. So it gets you
ready for a true sports car experience.
The engine bay has an award-worthy style where the pristine white
inner walls make for a great canvas to showcase all the fresh and
polished components of this powerhouse. More than just look
awesome, this one offers awesome power. It's a fresh 302 cubic-inch
crate motor. These are known for being powerful right out of the
box, and it's built to be a 340 horsepower setup. Plus, this has a
Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and JBA headers.
This also has the right supporting components, like Ford
Motorsports cast aluminum valve covers, upgraded pulleys, an Optima
red top battery, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fans. The
result is a strong and powerful heart. And don't forget to look at
all the photos of this full build. See how clean and complete even
the undercarriage is? That's the detailed difference in investing
$100k in just the labor on this coupe. And when you have fresh and
premium components, it makes for a sharp feeling on the road. Add
in power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and
four-wheel power disc brakes, and it's quite easy to enjoy this
full driving package.
