Vehicle Description
1972 Chevrolet Camaro
Why This Car Is Special
The second-generation Chevrolet Camaro was produced by Chevrolet
from 1970 through the 1981 model years. It was introduced in the
spring of 1970. When Car & Driver Magazine tested a small block one
in May of 1971 they stated, "It's a Camaro like none before."
It was longer, lower, and wider than the first generation Camaro.
GM engineers have said the second generation is much more of "A
Driver's Car" than its predecessor.
The 1972 Chevrolet Camaro we have in stock at Skyway Classics is a
bright orange one equipped with the split bumper Rally Sport front
end that has become such a classic.
Mechanical
Under the hood of our Camaro is the engine you should expect, a 350
cubic-inch V8 that is modified to about 350 horsepower with a
Holley performance carb, chrome open air cleaner, aluminum valve
covers, tube headers, and lumpy sounding performance cam and kit.
All this power is transmitted to the rear via an automatic
transmission.
It has power steering and power brakes as well as a dual exhaust
with turbo mufflers flowing out the rear. If you look underneath
you will also see it has a 10-bolt rear end and rolls on grey
painted Chevy Rallye Wheels with chrome trim rings and caps and
performance tires.
Interior
The interior is has a lot of original parts as well as other
features like the newer performance black bucket seating with
matching carpet, redone dash pad, and side panels. The factory
gauges and dash is correct and aftermarket gauges are under the
dash also. The steering wheel looks great and it does have a radio
block off plate.
Exterior

with body work such as brand new front fenders, rear quarter
panels, passenger door, floor pans, trunk pan, grill, and new
