Vehicle Description
Survivor cars are rare, but a survivor Jeep was almost
unthinkable... until you check out this 1995 Jeep Wrangler. The
reason for the higher respect is because this is a Rio Grande
limited edition that includes a one-year color. And not only is it
well-preserved, but also it's loaded with great features, including
A/C.
We already love the Wrangler generation because it was where the
military Jeep image merged with some premium flair. After all, the
Wranglers were sold to those who wanted to go out on the town
Friday night, but then get up early on Saturday morning to get to
the fishing camp. And this one captures that attitude the best. The
name of the Rio Grande special edition just brings up mental images
of spending days out in nature. More importantly, it was a one-year
offering for the final year of the YJ. The Bright Mango paint is
exclusive to the Rio Grande Edition, and so to have the factory
application still looking so vibrant really makes for a rare treat.
So while the odometer reflects the full actual mileage, there is a
level of respect here that tells you it was treated as something
special. In fact, the whole Jeep has an almost time-capsule level
of quality on the well-fitting soft top, nicely aligned doors,
clean fender flares, and bright alloy wheels.
The interior continues the well-respected originality. These
Wranglers arguably had the best dash layout of any generation. The
speedo and tach laid out directly in front of the driver for proper
ergonomics. Then the rest of the gauges spread wide across the
center to remind everyone that this was a serious machine. More
than just functional, this one gets the comfort factor correct with
a cup holder center console, cruise control, upgraded AM/FM/CD
stereo, and even air conditioning to keep you cool on hot days out
in the sunshine. Plus, full carpeting and a good appearance in the
special southwestern upholstery pattern keep this special Wrangler
looking good for a night on the town.
Under the hood is the correct 2.5-liter motor. And on a survivor
this well preserved so far, you'll love that this one remains
honest right down to the factory jack mounted on the inner fender.
This motor was derived from the tough-as-nails AMC line of
powerhouses, and so you get durability and economy. Plus, with
fuel-injection and the control of the five-speed manual
transmission, this is always a lively machine. Add in the power
steering, power brakes, and front discs, and you won't be able to
resist adding miles to this preserved Wrangler. But while this is
an amazing survivor, the 4x4 drivetrain with two-speed transfer
case means it's always worthy of the go-anywhere Jeep name.
This is a great Wrangler Rio Grande kept by those who knew the some
day we'd all truly appreciate the YJ as a true classic. So it's
time to grab this preserved collectible now, because there might
never be another of this caliber again. Call today!!!
