a well-done restomod example, classic Ford Mustangs still sell,
nearly 60 years after introduction. It has had the same loving
owner for the past 19 years since 2002. This example was originally
made in Dearborn, Michigan (VIN code F) and has since been restored
and modified. The previous owner has had it for five years and he
mainly used it for car shows. This Pony is dressed in a custom Dark
cranberry Metallic with red flames on the hood, roof and flat
portion of the trunk lid. The paint and trim are in overall very
good order and in the sun the color really stands out. The bodywork
is straight and the engine bay is extremely tidy and the chrome
bumpers are in fine shape and fit tightly to the body. This car
rolls new radials, size 235/45ZR17 at every corner. Each one is
mounted on a new, US Mag wheel with spider spokes. The tires are in
overall very good order. Under the hood is Ford?s venerable 289 CID
V-8 engine. This one breathes via Flowmaster exhausts. Backing up
this motor is a three-speed automatic transmission. Inside, is a
custom black velvet interior. The front buckets and rear bench have
been reupholstered in the black, soft material. The carpet and
headliner are in matching material. A three-spoke aftermarket
steering wheel helps frame a black instrument panel with silver
appliqu? trim, which adds contrast. A B&M shifter completes the
interior. The horn and gauge cluster are inoperable. Several
changes to the Mustang occurred at the start of the ?normal? 1965
model year in August 1964, about four months after its
introduction. These cars are known as ?late 65s.? The engine lineup
was changed. The DC electrical generator was replaced by a new AC
alternator on all Fords (a way to distinguish a 1964 from a 1965 is
to see if the alternator light on the dash says ?GEN? or ?ALT?).
Additionally, reverse lights were an option added to the car from
August 1964 production. If you desire a showpiece that happens to
be a Mustang, you need to come by MotoeXotica Classic Cars today to
