Vehicle Description
"Built on the B-Body platform, the 1969 Road Runner was meant to be
a no-frills, high thrills muscle car where the biggest thrill was
what lurked under the hood. Available in three body styles
including a hardtop, pillared coupe, and convertible. It was the
convertible model that helped it become Motor Trends' car of the
year in 1969."
-Muscle Cars Illustrated
This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Convertible is finished in Saddle
Brown Metallic with a coordinating brown and tan interior with a
bench seat and column shifter. This Road Runner is powered by the
legendary 383 cubic inch motor with 4-barrel carburetor mated to a
727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission. The 383 cubic inch motor
runs strong and pulls through the gears effortlessly.
As documented by the Broadcast Sheet this Road Runner has the
correct motor and transmission that it left the St. Louis. Factory
with in 1969. The recipient of an older restoration this Road
Runner has been well maintained and presents very nicely. Most
recently the 8-3/4" rear-end for this Plymouth was rebuilt.
If you are "Mopar or no car" collector or just an American muscle
car enthusiast this is the perfect car to begin or expand your
collection.
