Vehicle Description
The Land Cruiser is Toyota's longest running series. It began in
1951 and is still made to this day. It has been produced in
convertible, hardtop, station wagon and utility truck versions and
is known worldwide for its reliability and longevity. The FJ60 was
produced from 1980 through 1990 for most worldwide markets. It
retained the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Cruisers
but was designed to better compete in the emerging sport utility
market making it a little more refined for urban driving.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this super clean, 1988 Toyota
FJ 62 Land Cruiser for consideration. The truck was in Arkansas
before it came to us. The truck is finished in its original color,
Red. The body is very straight and appears to be very solid. As you
can see the paint is peeling and is cracked in some areas, but to
find an example that is this solid and still in its factory color
is quite a treat. Enjoy it as it is or invest and restore this
truck, either way you are winning. Within the last 100 miles the FJ
has had a new cap, rotor, plugs, wires, oil change, trans flush and
fluid filter, battery. The FJ has been tastefully lifted 2 inches
with a Old Man Emu package. It rides on new tires mounted on
factory wheels. The 3FE 6 cylinder engine runs like a top, with
188,552 miles on it-this rig is still young as we have sold some
with over 300,000 miles on them.
The Classic SUV Market remains on fire. The FJ 60-62 Land Cruisers
are built to last. Their nostalgic design along with their
mechanical longevity and reliability make them a first choice among
collectors and enthusiasts alike. They remain very usable vehicles.
Lower mile, reliable examples as the one here receive much
attention as values continue to rise.
