Real Road Runner that underwent a high end restoration with
upgrades. Only 2,410 miles since finished. The fit and finishes are
exceptional in and out.
EXTERIOR: The fit and finish is amazing! It is laser straight, no
rust, bubbles or damage. Everything fits precisely. The door closes
like new. The Sunfire yellow is like glass. It has 6 coats of
clear. It has a bumblebee stripe with a Road Runner in place of the
Super Bee. You can't even feel it under the clear. It has the lift
off hood with a high gloss black finish, you could shave in it.
There are polished poles that display the hood lifted at the shows.
The jambs are slick, weather strips were replaced. The grill is
restored like new. The bumpers are rechromed. All the stainless
trim around the windows is polished. The mirrors, door handles,
taillights and vent window frames look new. Glass is all real nice
and clear. It has the black steel rims with 15 inch radial redline
tires.
INTERIOR: Professional custom job. Completely wrapped in soft
leather. Very comfortable reclining bucket seats, power driver
side. The rear seat is upholstered to match. The door panels are
custom. The headliner is custom molded and upholstered. The rear
shelf is custom made with some cool speaker grill design. The dash
is completely reconstructed, it is wrapped in leather. It has a
clean set of matching gauges, billet Vintage Air climate controls.
The power window switches are out of sight, the stereo is hidden in
the glovebox. It has a beautiful wood rim steering wheel. Sound
deadening was used on the floor, ceiling and firewall. On the floor
is custom cut carpet and the star of the show- a pistol grip
shifter!
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Custom show quality. The engine bay was custom
boxed smooth and painted gloss yellow. The wires and hoses were
hidden. It has a 1970 440 motor rebuilt by Akie Suarez. It has a
6-pack carb set up on top- Edelbrock intake and Holley carbs. The
finned air cleaners match the valve covers. It also has MSD
ignition and Hooker headers. The front of the motor has billet
brackets and pulleys with a serpentine belt system. The Vintage Air
has a polished compressor. The power steering pump is billet. The
power brake booster is painted and the master is billet. The
aluminium radiator is polished.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been boxed and carpeted. The back panel
opens up, that is where the battery is relocated. It has a
disconnect switch. There is a built in cd changer. Under the trunk
lid is gloss yellow. New weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: Jim Reid built suspension. The front end is rebuilt- new
bushings, shocks and upgraded swaybar. In back it has lowering
blocks, new shocks and a swaybar. New fuel tank, straps and sending
unit. New exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, cross over pipe and
chrome tips. It's original vin # matching 4-speed was rebuilt. It
has a 3.55 sure grip rear end. The brakes were redone, has disc in
front.
I drove this car on my day off, it performed without issue. Ran
great, steered and stopped great, shifted great. It's a show car
driver!
