1932 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster. Exquisitely detailed on seemingly every
level, this '32 Ford Hi Boy is finished in PPG Jet Black base-clear
with custom flames and rolls on powder-coated Wheel Vintiques wire
wheels. Vintage, large-diameter, 1932 headlights sit low on the
nose and add a magnificent level of nostalgia. The interior is red,
white and black with an engine-turned gauge cluster reminiscent of
the original but hosting a few more gauges to keep an eye on
vitals. The custom rolled-and-pleated bench seat matches the door
panels, and even the leather-wrapped steering wheel is two-tone red
and white. A Rod Bods steel body looks sleek with hidden door
hinges, shaved door handles, a steel grille and a custom vintage
windshield. Checking nearly every box a classic Hot Rod would, this
1932 Ford Hi-Boy Roadster is powered by a Smeding Performance 350
CI V-8 engine rated at 350HP with a new GM 700R4 automatic
transmission. The engine is dressed as nicely as the rest of the
Rod, with Sanderson headers with cutouts leading to custom
stainless exhaust, Edelbrock valve covers and a fantastic
presentation of polished aluminum, stainless and red detailing
across the board. Power is channeled through a Ford 9-inch rear
end, and the engine and transmission are kept cool with a Griffin
radiator and trans cooler. The boxed chassis features new American
frame rails and polished and chromed Super Bell 4-drop I-beam axle
with 4-bar suspension arm; the 4-wheel disc brakes feature polished
calipers and custom finned front backing plates. This '32 Ford is
certainly one any car enthusiast can appreciate, but absolutely
something Hot Rodders will adore. Just one drive through town with
