Vehicle Description

Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting a 1950 Pontiac Chieftain Silver Streak for sale. This Pontiac is Green with a Grey interior. Powered by the Straight Eight that was used from 1933 till well into the 50s and an automatic transmission. General Motors used the Pontiac line to introduce many features to its line of automobiles. They were one of the first with a fully automatic transmission like the one in this car. Other options include wire wheel hub caps, wide white walls, and a jack and spare tire. In 1950 Pontiac used what they called an Envelope style body that was introduced in 1949. This Pontiac is what a 1950s American car is all about. The grille is Chrome and Huge with big push bars. The windshield has a visor. The car has cool brightwork, check out the Silver Streak emblems with the 8 between, and the side trim that almost conceals the extra doors. Pop the hood and the Straight Eight looks like it goes on forever with spark plugs lined up to the firewall. The interior and dash also show nice with what appears to be freshened up upholstery and carpets. This Pontiac Chieftain is ready to drive.
