Vehicle Description
The 1932 Ford Model A Roadster. Affectionately called Highboy or
Lowboy depending on channeling and stripped down fenders, hood, and
other non-essentials. This Deuce (1932) comes to us from a local
enthusiast.
Oh, Hell yes! Our customers trust us to sell a Corvette or a Hot
Rod. This Roadster doesn't disappoint.
You've likely been researching and reading the Ford enthusiast
blogs and articles. You landed on our listing because you found
your dream car!
A quick summary of why the 1932 is the conversion of choice. Even
Chip Foose, the master builder who turns cars into art, has a 1932
Ford Model A Hot Rod. Here are a few comments from Chip from his
article with our friends at Hagerty Media.
- Form following function...the '32 Ford, everything from the body
shape to the placement of the front axle is just right.
- The '32 Ford's grille shell has become collectible in its own
right.
- This was Ford's first vehicle to integrate the frame rails into
the car's overall design.
- In 1932, Ford moved the front axle farther back, just behind the
radiator shell. This gave the entire car better visual balance.
- With 14 body styles employing varying lines, arcs, and lengths,
the model opened up the playbook for hot-rodders.
- 1932 Fords sold on West Coast assembled with 25 vertical louvers
stamped on each side of the hood, while East Coast Deuces only 20
vertical louvers, the discrepancy allows rodders to further
personalize their '32. (Corvette Mike Midwest's Deuce is West Coast
25 stamped hood)
- This was the first year for Ford's all-steel-reinforced body.
Thus, the car was much lighter.
- It can be restored, chopped, channeled, sectioned, lengthened, or
shortened-the possibilities are endless. Long live the Deuce.
