Vehicle Description
This week Canyon State Classics brings to market a beautiful 1979
Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible. This Bug was sold new in
Scottsdale, AZ and has all original owners books stamped when new.
This car was sold in the early 2000s by a father and his daughter
as a team project and they proceeded to build their dream bug with
each others help. Over $20k went into this little Blue Gem over the
past 2 decades. This is as nice as you can find a Super Beetle and
the last year for US productions and sales!
This little Bug has been nicely restored and shows well anywhere it
goes, and can be driven just about anywhere as well. It has a look
that is unmistakable Vintage VW with its vintage rag top and chrome
accessories all around. Don't miss your chance to own a truly
spectacular Beetle, which will get looks everywhere it goes.
The following is a list of options as this Beetle is currently
equipped:
-1600cc Dual Port Twin Carburated (3k Miles on Complete
Overhaul)
-4 Speed Manual Transmission
-Refreshed Volkswagon Wheels and Center Caps
-Beautiful Steering Wheel
-Like New White Interior
-Like New Convertible Top
-Beautiful Mignight Blue Pearl Paint
-Period Correct HiFi Cassette Player and Blaupunkt Speakers
The body on the car is straight as an arrow and the pan is totally
solid (Other than a very clean patch panel under battery) and was
originally a Arizona Bug. The paint on the car is finished in an
eye popping Blue on white scheme which looks very nice which is all
new trim! I would describe the overall paint as 10/10 quality with
beautiful jams and front compartment with no sloppy overspray
anywhere. The car is riding on nice 15" VWwheels with new
radials.
The interior is also in like brand new shape all around courtesy of
the interior refresh. The seats are all in very good condition and
look perfect, which shows the quality of materials used in this
car. The carpets are all very nice are not worn or damaged. The
dash is in excellent un-cracked original shape (No Dash Cap wow!)
and Contrasts the white seats to really set the interior off. All
gauges and controls function as they should. All lights, gauges
switches, and accessories work as they should. The bonnet is nicely
carpeted with at and trunk bonnet trim and matching period correct
spare tire.
Mechanically, this VW runs GREAT! The car starts right up and
shifts smooth as silk. A lot of time and money was spent under the
hood of this little beetle. The motor is a fresh rebuild with less
than 3,000 miles on it. It was definitely built to show and go! The
clutch and transmission were also freshened at the time of the
engine build so they are reliable as well. I was told total cost of
the engine build alone is well over $4000. The car fires right up
with no hesitation or smo0king. Its also extremely tight with
little to no leaks to speak of.
All in all, this is truly one of the coolest Beetles on the road
today. This car can not be duplicated for my asking price, I dare
you to try. It has been professionally maintained and truly loved
by its previous owner. This is your chance to get an like new
classic Beetle for a fraction of the build cost. The car has a
clean title. Any further questions please call Jon at 480 703 2337.
The car is located in Sunny Tempe, Arizona.
