Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is proud to offer this survivor
1936 Ford Model 68 4-door sedan for sale on consignment in our
Arizona showroom, located in North Phoenix. This body-style of
full-size Ford was sold from 1935-1938 and sold extremely well,
with the V8 DeLuxe cars such as this '36 representing the pinnacle
of accessible style and practicality for the working American
family at that time. The smart Gray exterior paintjob is
complimented by other prominent features such as the three
horizontal chrome stripes on either side of the hood, whitewall
tires and the classic spare tire holder in the back. Powering this
Ford is its period-correct powertrain with the odometer reading
just over 33,000 miles (not verified as "actual" by Gateway Classic
Cars other than mileage statement on vehicle Title)- a 221 CID
"Flathead" V8 that is totally stock and a 3-speed manual
transmission with the shifter located on the floor to get you
through the gears. Ford estimated the output from this V8 in 1936
to be approximately 85 horsepower, which was competitive in those
days! Open the stylish suicide doors of this Model 68 and you'll
find that just like the rest of the car, the interior has been
preserved and is a time capsule. Tan cloth bench seats adorn the
front and rear while factory-style gauges for oil pressure, fuel
level, speedometer, water temperature and voltage keep the driver
of this Ford well informed. A handbrake is located on the floor
next to the shifter and a rear window shade can be pulled up for UV
protection when the car is parked. This 1936 Ford Model 68 for sale
is a great looker and driver- you can enjoy it on the weekend or
take it to shows and watch people marvel at the original appearing
condition. Give our helpful Sales staff a call at (623) 900-4884
today and we'll put our eyes and ears on this flashy Ford for you.
