The current owner has had possession of the car for 10 years and the previous owner was her Father, so this is a single-family owned vehicle which has British Motor Industry Heritage Trust documents and the original sale contract from 1965. With the British market heating up as of late this is one of the cars that has been on many of the collector's radars. This gem has all the original panels still intact and it shows. The hood, cowl, and trunk lid have been refinished and the remainder of the car is original paint in the original Old English White color. The fitment on this British beauty is one of the nicest I have seen. The manual 4 speed gearbox is what you would expect with shifts being short and precise. The clutch still feels great, has just 500 miles since replaced, and has plenty of life left. The brakes feel great as well with little to no fading thanks to the brake drums being balanced. The true knock off wheels have been replaced and balanced and are a great 60's era touch and what you would expect on one of these old British 2 seaters. The cooper dual carb set up has been rebuilt and really feed this 2.9 liter inline six just the right amount of fuel. If its highway driving you want, this Austin Healey will suffice as the original rear gear ratio of 3.9:1 has been swapped with 3.54:1 allowing for lower rpms. With the black interior it really brings it all together especially with the black windscreen and black convertible top. In the trunk a full size spare and everything you need to change it in the misfortunate event of a flat on the road. Hit the spinner and you will see why they are called knock offs.
