Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1979 International Scout.
Finished in white with dark blue stripes and a blue interior, this
is a solid driver that looks good and runs well. Well-optioned with
V8, automatic, power steering, power disk brakes, tilt wheel and
factory air conditioning. Paint and body present nicely; floors,
rockers and cab supports are original and solid with no evidence of
rust or prior repair. This Scout has been updated with an
SSII-style grille, custom front and rear bumpers and 15-inch alloy
wheels wearing all terrain tires. A frame-mounted trailer hitch
receiver is installed below the rear bumper for light towing.
Interior is tidy with blue cloth seat upholstery, door panels,
carpet and headliner all in good condition. Dash has been updated
with a full set of modern gauges including tachometer. Modern
AM/FM/CD stereo with bluetooth, USB and aux input. A roll bar with
padded cover and three-point seat belts is a nice safety upgrade.
Rear lift hatch has been converted to gas struts.
Under the hood is IH's 345-cubic inch V8 mated to a TorqueFlite 727
automatic transmission. Optioned with a four-barrel carburetor,
power steering and power brakes (front disk), this Scout runs,
drives, steers and stops well. A/C system is intact and the blower
and compressor both turn on, but the system has not been converted
to R-134a and is not blowing cold.
