interior. - 1966 CHEVROLET CORVETTE CONVERTIBLE BODY-OFF FRAME UP
RESTORATION STUNNING INSIDE & OUT This incredible 1966 Chevrolet
Corvette convertible has undergone a body-off frame up mechanical
and cosmetic restoration. Restoration included the installation of
a 496ci stroker V8 engine and the rebuild of a replacement Muncie
wide-ratio four-speed manual transmission. Vehicle exterior was
refinished in Silver Pearl, a replacement convertible top was
professionally fitted, interior pieces by Al Knoch Interiors were
installed and, the factory AM/FM Delco radio was rebuilt to include
an auxiliary input. Additional features include a color-matched
removable hardtop, side exhaust pipes, and a Nardi three-spoke
steering wheel. Driven approximately 3,500 miles since completion
of the refurbishment in 2018, this C2 comes with extensive records
including dyno paperwork. Vehicle is located in California and is
California titled. The body was removed from the chassis and
refinished in its factory Silver Pearl (986) color. Features
include an eggcrate grille, three vertical vents per fender,
side-exit exhaust pipes, and a hood cowl. Close-up photos of the
paintwork, badging, and retractable headlights show the fine
caliber of this restoration. The car's replacement black
convertible top was expertly installed by Corvette specialist. The
body-colored matching hardtop is shown fitted in the photos.
Turbine-style 15 wheels feature three-eared knock-off spinners with
215/70 BFGoodrich Radial T/A goldline tires. The interior, per the
trim tag, was delivered new in Silver (426) and now features
beautiful replacement Silver seats and door panels sourced from
Knoch Interiors. The vertically-mounted Delco AM/FM radio was
rebuilt and features an auxiliary input. Additional equipment
includes a wood-rimmed Nardi three-spoke steering wheel,
manually-operated windows, and lap belts for both occupants.
Instrumentation consists of a 7k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph
speedometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer
reads 38795 miles, 3,500 of which have been added recently. Power
is provided by a 454ci V8 that was stroked to a displacement of
496ci by Eddings Engine Inc. in San Fernando, California. The
engine block casting shown within the gallery includes the digits
3999289. Modifications include: * SCAT steel crankshaft and
connecting rods * Icon forged pistons * Clevite main and rod
bearings * Dura-Bond camshaft bearings * Cloyes True Roller timing
gears with Timken bearings * Melling oil pump * Lunati hydraulic

hardware and Fel-Pro gaskets * Holley 770 Street Avenger carburetor
* MSD coil, distributor, and ignition wires Engine dyno results
list the motor producing 602 ft lbs of torque at 3,700 rpm and over
514 hp at 5,000 rpm. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a
replacement Muncie four-speed manual transmission that was rebuilt
to M22 wide-ratio specifications. The trim tag located below the
