Gateway Classic Cars is very excited to offer this 1958 Ford Custom
300 Hot Rod. The builder of the car stated to GCC that what he
spent his time on - was what one doesn't see. The car was
rotisserie restored - with the emphasis on the complete under
carriage, and suspension. She is detailed in epoxy red oxide
primer, with new fuel tank, and lines, 1955 Chevrolet power
steering box, front disc brakes, ladder bar suspension out back w/
9" Posi-Traction 3:70 rear end, coil over shocks at all 4-corners,
and large diameter front/rear sway bars! She isn't just a car show
for the ants - this car will handle and ride like she should. If it
weren't for the American Racing Torque Flight wheels - we may just
call her a sleeper! Painted in a 2-tone 2-stage Blue-White-Blue
paint scheme from her vintage, and is considered a good driver
quality paint job, and for the majority of lookers - it would not
matter!! Her color scheme and stance, w/ those wheels, and did we
mention all the chrome and SS - this car grabs attention - trust
me! The trim and bumpers all appear to be original - and in very
good condition with minor patina. Under the hood sits a rebuilt
1966 Mercury 410 Big Block, which is a 390 block that Mercury then
implanted a 428 crank into, that has an aluminum intake w/ a Holley
tri-power sitting on top! He also stated based on odometer - she
has ~1,500iles since installed in 2015, which makes for a low
mileage power plant, mated to a rebuilt top-loading wide ratio
4-speed w/ Hurst shifter, to the new Ford 9". The next high-light
is the sound - with a set of long tube headers, w/ exhaust
extensions for future open-header times, w/ H-tube, 2.5" exhaust
pipes and tail pipes - this thing sounds so - strong! Open the door
and you're greeted to what appears to be the original, 2-tone vinyl
interior done in Blue and White, excluding the bench seat covers,
and carpet. It is amazing how well she appears, as you can tell
this car has been taken care of, with only some minor patina on
door frame - says it all for this car's history. Sit inside and let
the nostalgia of the 50's kick in - because if you were cruising -
you most likely had the tach on the dash, and the oil/amp/temp
gauges were under the dash, only today you can blast some tunes on
the four pioneer speakers from either the AM/FM/CD stereo, hidden
in her glove box. Open the hood, and the engine looks as clean as
the rest of the vehicle, with an aluminum radiator, and that
Tri-Power set up-just makes the statement! Options for this 1958
300 include; vinyl interior, power steering, disc brakes, Pioneer
AM/FM/CD, American Racing Torque Flight wheels w/ BF Goodrich
P215/70R15, P295/50R60 Radial T/A tires. This 1958 Ford 300 is for
