Meticulous nut and bolt restoration from the bottom up. They
started with a 44,000 mile, rust free virgin car. A complete and
authentic L-79 driveline was rebuilt and installed. It makes an
incredible sleeper!
EXTERIOR: Immaculate all original body- rust free, damage free. You
can still see the pinch welds around the rear wheel well lip. The
body alignment is precise. There are no bubbles or cracking. The
paint is a smooth, glossy white finish. In front the bumper is
rechromed, the grill and trim are excellent. It has correct T-3
headlamps. It has a bowtie mirror, handles and emblems are
excellent. In back the bumper is rechromed, taillights are mint.
The glass is all original including the windshield which is still
crystal clear. The wheels are painted to match the car, poverty
hubcaps are pristine. New radial blackwall tires.
INTERIOR: Remarkably the interior is original and still looks
practically new. On the floor is the original rubber mat, no
carpet. The 4-speed is a correct curved chrome handle with reverse
lock out. The padded dash is original, it is a cigarette lighter
delete, knobs, heater control panel is mint. Owner's manual is in
the glovebox. The seat cushions are still firm, the upholstery is
excellent. The door panels, headliner, visors are mint. It has seat
belts front and back. There is a vintage style Sun tachometer on
the column. The retro stereo in the dash is also hooked up to the
vintage 8 track player.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That is a legendary L-79 327-350 horsepower
motor. Correct from oil pan to air cleaner. It has the double hump
heads, factory aluminium intake, completely restored correct
carburetor. It has correct internals except the cam was upgraded to
a hydraulic lifters for easier maintenance. It is dressed with
correct chrome valve covers, dual snorkel air cleaner and oil fill
tube. The engine bay is concourse restored. It has the right GM
hoses and clamps, the proper water neck, an actual Delco
reproduction battery with spring clamp cables. The metal is
pristine and has a nice semi gloss black finish. The bottom of the
hood has insulation, the hinges are finished nicely. Wiper motor
looks new, it even has the glass bottle with the washer fluid.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Looks like new inside here. Perfectly clean
metal has a real nice grey and white spatter finish. The spare is a
painted rim with a never used Polyester tire. The jack assembly is
restored and bolted down properly. The jamb and under the trunk lid
are gloss white. The weather strip, wiring and decal look new.
UNDERSIDE: It is immaculate under this car. Perfectly clean dry
original metal. All the factory seams and pinch welds are crisp.
It's been cleaned and painted a semi gloss black. Every component
has been restored. The front end has been apart, rebuilt and
detailed. The brakes were completely rebuilt. It has stainless
steel brake and fuel lines. The fuel tank looks nee. New factory
type dual exhaust system. The bottom of the motor is spotless. The
4-speed transmission is immaculate. It has a correct 12 boat posi
for an L-79 with 3.31 years The shocks are supposed to be very rare
factory GM air shocks.
Detailed and dialed in. This is the quality you dream to find.
Aside from being exceptional from top to bottom, this is a cool
car. The ultimate sleeper!
