very special, and with Carol Shelby gone now, these cars-

Introduced at the 2005 New York International Auto Show, the GT500
uses a supercharged 5.4 L; 330.0 cu in (5,408 cc) V8 engine rated
at 500 hp (507 PS; 373 kW) @ 6000 rpm, and 480 ft. lbs (651 Nm)
torque @ 4500 rpm. Features include the Tremec TR-6060 6-speed
manual transmission, suspension tuning, a body kit, and 18 inch
wheels. Shelby did a great job with this car and it is super much
fun to drive it. The performance is better than most cars from the
muscle car era. Shift through the gears and your adrenaline level
climbs like the RPM's. Between the distinct blower whine, gear
sound, stunning looks- and the fact that it was king back then all
make it an unforgettable experience. Motor Trend rang it's neck in
2007 and achieved 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and 100 mph in 9.8
seconds, the quarter mile in 12.7 seconds at 116 mph, and the
standing mile in 33.2 seconds at 150.2 mph. Those are some SERIOUS
numbers for a car out of the box, even today. Folks, there were
only 8150 Shelby GT500 Coupes build and you don't want to miss this
