Our Nashville showroom digitally showcases this 1955 Chevrolet
BelAir, or as I call it, my latest car crush. Now I have a pretty
good job and while I am sure there are others out there that make
more money than I do, I get to work with classic cars. I spend time
talking to the owners and buyers of cars that most only dream about
and when it comes time for the cars to be driving for the videos, I
always volunteer because I don't mind taking one for the team. I
tell you this, so you understand, I have become a little jaded. It
takes something extra special to catch my attention and this car
has it! While the exterior of the car is obviously well done in
satin black with chrome that has been painted a gun metal grey, you
can tell the work that went into the car before the sinister black
was laid down. I have looked this car over top to bottom and I can
tell you it is as pretty underneath as it is on top. With Power
coated frame, freshly painted floor pan and even the suspension
components are tidy and painted black. Powering this classic Chevy
shoebox is a Small block Chevy that has been bored and stroked to
383 cubic inches. This stroker was purchased from Smeding
performance and is thier "Extreme" and pushes out 450 Horsepower.
Bolted to the top of the block is a set of their performance heads,
Edelbrock(R) intake and Quickfuel(R) four-barrel carburetor. This
power is controlled by a 4-speed manual transmission that is paired
right for this set up. Just the slightest twist of the key brings
this mighty mouse to life and the noise it makes will put a smile
on your face. I just came back from driving the car for the video
(It's a tough job, but someone has to do it) and I can tell you I
have a permasmile on my face. Now there is a long list of custom
touches on this car, too many to list like drilled and slotted
rotor and Wilwood(R) disc brakes on each corner, suffice it to say
that not a trick was missed nor a penny pinched on this build!
Options for this '55 Chevy include: AM/FM CD player, Power
steering, Tilt steering wheel, Leather interior, Seat belts, Radial
tire wrapped around American Racing(R) 5 spoke rims. This 1955
BelAir for sale can be seen in greater detail including 100+ HD
