Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 22nd year in the
classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's Corvette has been
America's go-to sports car for an astounding 68 years and counting.
As the times and customer preferences have changed, so too has the
Corvette, with offerings ranging from minimalist C1's with side
curtains to big block tire shredders or even the sybaritic comfort
of a luxurious GT. This versatility, in fact, is one of the main
reasons why the Corvette has developed such a widespread and
enthusiastic following. Our handsome Marlboro Maroon (975) 1970
Corvette Stingray Convertible possesses an excellent blend of
comfort, performance, and the drop-dead gorgeous styling that has
remained a Corvette standard for almost 7 decades. Horsepower is
provided by the ubiquitous and correct Chevy 350 V8 (BCN 3970010)
which spins a TH400 automatic transmission that, in turn, delivers
torque to the 3.36 Posi (CLR) rear end. Additional features include
power steering, power 4-wheel disc brakes, factory air
conditioning, vinyl covered auxiliary hardtop (one of only 832!),
luggage rack, and rally wheels. Although not ready for Pebble
Beach, we feel that this is a good, largely original example based
on the bonding strips, original side glass, chassis condition, etc.
1970 Corvette production was low (17,316) thanks to yet another
strike, so a convertible (6,648 produced) Stingray with chrome
bumpers and desirable options should be a sound investment. Street
Dreams (830-997-1950) is the Texas Hill Country's premier source
for classic Corvettes and can assist with worldwide delivery,
insurance, and financing options.
