Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this
sharp 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle. This one has been enjoyed by the
current owner for 20 years and was restored just prior to his
ownership. The exterior features a smart color change from the
original bronze shade to the icy blue seen on it now. She sits
great, and still looks good. The seller believes it is an original
SS from the factory, however there is no documentation to that
affect. The original engine is long gone, but the GOOD news is, the
396 in there now is designated as a very desirable 396-375 horse
L78 built October 23rd, 1969, according to the stampings on the
block pad. (The VIN prefix on the block is from a different car).
It is enhanced with an Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, and Hooker
Headers. No shame in having an otherwise correct 396 in there! And
boy does it run great. Fires right up, has a slight lope at idle,
and it pulls HARD. Just like a big-block Chevelle should. That
motor- combined with the 4-speed makes this car a whole lotta fun.
A 12-bolt Olds rear plants the torque to the pavement. The white
bucket interior looks good, has that great vintage GM feel to it.
The power steering and power brakes make it easy to drive, and the
AM/FM/CD awaits your choice of tunes. Overall, a very presentable
driver you can tear up the streets with. This 1969 Chevrolet
