There is a folder of about $30,000 in receipts. It's not a perfect
car but it sure has had a lot of work done to it. I think it is
cool looking. The windshield is really slanted, has hump back
trunk, extra lights and big white walls. The only thing you need is
a derby hat and a Tommy gun.
EXTERIOR: $14,000 body and paint restoration. It's all steel, no
signs of rust. The body is straight and has a smooth glossy finish.
It has picked up some nicks and scratches in storage. The chrome
was replated- bumpers, headlights, handles etc. The glass was
replaced. The wheels were powder coated, new chrome caps and rings.
The big white walls are radials. The running boards are painted
with a durable bedliner. The windsield cranks out, theres your air
condioning!
INTERIOR: The upholstery has been completely redone to original.
The seats, door panels and headliner. It even has the rope handles
and blanket holder. The dash is very cool looking. It has a huge
speedometer, the gauges all match including the optional radio. The
carpet was replaced, has bound edges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has an original 6 cylinder DU motor. It
looks complete and authentic from the plug wire holder to the
original air cleaner.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It is carpeted to match the interior. Bottom of
the trunk lid is painted gloss black, new weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The metal looks really clean. I don't see patches. I do
see factory spotwelds and seams. It was cleaned and painted.
According to the receipts the front end was all rebuilt. The brakes
have been gone through. The muffler looks recent.
This can be a fun old car. It has style in and out. It will take
you back to another era!
