Vehicle Description
Exceptionally low mileage, proper V8 power, a loaded A/C interior,
and a terrific level of preservation all come together to make this
1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 a stylish true classic offered for quite
a nice price.
This coupe is part of the beginning of the new generation. Later
third-gen Zs would sport a more boisterous body kit. That's a fine
car, and we have a few to see if that's your taste. But we also
know there are some of you out there who want a purer design like
this one. That's because these Camaro are beginning to be
appreciated for their game-changing body lines. The crisp design
has a sharp edge that runs around the entire coupe. It gives an
added degree of sophistication on a car that likes a dapper
presentation. The factory Charcoal Gray shows all the right signs
of being the original application, and on a car that has only
averaged about 650 miles annually, it looks far better than what
you'll find on many 1980s classics out there. Plus, we love how the
color is in harmony with the whole coupe. For example, it goes with
the rocker striping that leads to a distinctive darker gray lower
color package. The paint also looks good with this coupe's dark
side that includes the blacked-out headlight surrounds and Z/28's
intimidating hood scoop trim. Even the details, like the
pinstriping and 15-inch Z/28 wheels all seem to match the tone of
this car's full color theme.
The interior continues the full gray and black package. It gives
this the look of a serious car that likes to get down to speedy
business quickly, but it does reserve colorful inserts to remind
you of its sporting heritage. You see it in places like the Camaro
logo on the three-spoke wheel and the Z-28 badging on the dash. The
high-backed bucket seats give modern support. And the low mileage
means they have an impressive level of preservation. They even
updated this with newer headliner and door panels, but used the
correct pieces to keep the time capsule atmosphere. It's also
loaded with the best features, like power windows, power locks,
cruise control, the premium Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo, and
factory air conditioning upgraded to R134a refrigerant. The sports
steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so it gives you a good view
to the full gauge package. And Camaro fans know that only the first
few years had the distinct dual mph/kmh speedometer.
The 305 cubic-inch V8 with four-barrel carburetor is always ripe
for plenty of affordable power upgrades. But as you can see, this
one is refreshingly stock and correct. And as much as this is a
great preservation car, we know you won't be able to resist adding
miles to the odometer. After all, these High Output motors are
already quite impressive for their off-the line torque. Plus, when
you add power steering, power brake w/front discs, newer shocks,
and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly
overdrive, you get a classic that's easy to drive near or far.
The sale comes complete with the owner's manual and a maintenance
file going back over a dozen years showing over $5k invested in
this coupe. It proves there has been a lot of time and money
invested in keeping this Z/28 an impressive classic. So don't miss
