Vehicle Description
This hot rod's 1928 Series AB National sedan body was chopped,
channeled over the frame, and stripped of its fenders and running
boards. A ribbed top insert was fabricated, and the bodywork was
refinished in metallic gold. The windows were tinted and blue dot
taillights from a 1939 Ford were added. It's powered by a 350ci V8
coupled to a TH350 automatic transmission, both sourced from a 1977
Chevy Malibu, and is equipped with dual 4-barrel carburetors,
Edelbrock intake manifold, chrome exhaust headers with cutouts and
a custom aluminum radiator. "Big and little" wide whitewalls are
mounted to 5-spoke mags in the rear and chrome steel wheels up
front. The suspension was updated to a 4-link setup with coilovers,
tube shocks and front disc brakes. The interior is finished in
white tuck-and-roll upholstery with black piping. A Mooneyes gold
metal flake steering wheel is fitted on a GM column, and
instrumentation consists of a vintage-looking speedometer and
Mooneyes tachometer along with Stewart Warner oil pressure and
water temperature gauges. **TITLED AS A 1928 CHEVROLET HOT ROD**
