This sure checks the boxes! Great colors and features. A 454, 4
speed, posi, air, 4 wheel disc and much more. Frame off
restored.
EXTERIOR: It has eyeball, that's for sure. The body is clean and
straight the panels fit square. It's smooth all along the bottoms.
It's a code 75 car which is Cranberry red. The paint is polished
slick, you cannot feel the stripes. No ugly vinyl top. It has an
actual cowl induction hood with the flapper door and hood pins. In
front the grill, emblem, bezels and bumper look new. All the
stainless trim is straight and shiny. In back the bumper, SS pad
and taillights were replaced. The windshield and rear window are
new. Jambs are slick red paint. Weather strips, window seals and
sill plates were replaced.
INTERIOR: More resale red! Code 787 is red bench seat interior,
this was upgraded to buckets with a console. The cushions and
upholstery were replaced. On the floor it has red carpet and
embroidered floor mats. The headliner is tight. Door panels and
armrests were replaced. It has the factory gauge package and they
all work including the clock. A retro stereo fits right in the
factory hole and there are 6x9 speakers in back. The previous owner
also installed aftermarket tachometer and gauges which he felt were
more accurate.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 454 motor sounds tough. It has a lumpy idea
and quick response. Air goes in through a dual feed Holley carb on
an Edelbrock intake and out through a set of coated headers. Spark
is from an MSD ignition system. The front of the motor is decked
out with billet brackets, alternater, timing chain cover and March
pulleys with serpentine belt system. Upgraded modern heat and air
conditioning system. The motor stays cool with dual electric fans.
The hoses have Hose Candy sleeves and clamps. The hinges are
upgraded polished aluminium with struts. Features include power
steering and chromed power brake system.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal with a durable spatter finish.
Bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb are painted gloss red. It has
a new tire for a spare and a jack assembly. New mat, weather strip
and decals.
UNDERSIDE: The front end was completely rebuilt. Upgraded with a
Hotchkis Sport suspension including tubular control arms, lowering
springs, gas shocks and a fatter swaybar. In back the suspension is
also upgraded with Hotchkis upper and lower control arms, lowering
springs, a swaybar and new shocks. The bottom of the motor is
spotless, looks like a new high torque starter. Upgraded AutoGear
4-speed trans. The 12 bolt rear has 3.73 posi gears and a finned
aluminium cover. The fuel system was replaced including the tank,
sending unit, straps and insulators. The exhaust has Flowmaster
mufflers and cowbell tips. The brake system was upgraded with disc
at all four wheels. The e-brake is hooked up. It is claimed to have
been body off the frame restored. The floors and inner rockers and
lower quarters are clean metal with undercoat. The frame is solid
and painted semi-gloss black.
SS = Super Sexy! Yeah, this car is hot. It is not missing a thing,
it has what everyone wants!
