Vehicle Description
This 1967 Mercury Cougar Resto-Mod is powered by a supercharged SVT
5.4-liter 8-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed manual
transmission. A Mustang II independent front suspension with rack &
pinion steering was installed to make room for the engine and to
bring the suspension up to modern specifications. Power is
transferred through a Tom Woods custom driveshaft 4-link Ford
8.8-inch posi-traction rear axle with 3.73 gears. The hood sports a
Boss Mustang-style scoop, and the rear window opening was modified
to resemble the look of an early Charger or Chevelle. The interior
has vintage gauges, modern sound system and custom seats
upholstered with black BMW leather. A set of 18x8 front and 18x9.5
rear vintage wheels with Nitto tires sit under Detroit Speed
mini-tubs for a great stance.
