Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is excited to list this sharp 1931
Chevrolet Independence for sale. This Coupe is powered by the late
year 1961 Corvette 283 cubic inch motor bored out .030 over. It is
coupled to an M20 wide ratio Muncie 4 speed with an independent
rear suspension from a C3 Corvette. 1931 was the last year Chevy
out-sold Ford by blowing the doors off their little four cylinders.
Ford introduced their 8 cylinder flathead in 1932, which was Bonnie
and Clyde's preferred choice to outrun the law. Had Bonnie and
Clyde been driving this 1931 Chevrolet Five Window Coupe they could
have gotten away for more days of bank robbing. This slick little
coupe is quick but also stops well with disc brakes on all four
corners. The body is all steel with fiberglass fenders and running
boards. The beautiful blue paint will attract loads of attention.
However, for those who like to seek more attention, there is an
electric switch operated line lock to hold the front wheels while
the rear tires do a smoking burnout. This 1931 Chevrolet
Independence 5 Window Coupe is for sale in our Tampa Showroom and
can be viewed in greater detail including 100+ HD pictures and an
HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. For additional information,
