Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to present this
sharp 1971 Corvette Roadster! By 1971, Chevrolet had improved the
C3 Corvettes considerably in quality, from the 1968 debut. Body
fitment was improved and is quite good on this car. The Ontario
Orange is a great color on these early C3 Corvettes, especially
against the tan interior. This is a nice honest car, great body &
gaps, and could be enjoyed as is, or refinished to make it
outstanding. The Chevrolet rallys look great, and the exterior trim
and glass are better than most. It sold new at Burt Greenwald
Chevrolet in Akron Ohio, for $5512.00 after tax on March 8th, 1971.
The interior has received some restoration already. Seating,
carpeted areas and dash all look very good. The (black) soft top is
in very good condition and the cover & mechanism work great.
Although a non-factory air car, aftermarket air conditioning has
been added. Power brakes and power steering make it easy to drive.
The 350 V8 270 horsepower engine VIN matches the car, and has been
trimmed out with aftermarket valve covers, and a FiTech 4V fuel
injection throttle body replaces the original Rochester Quadrajet.
An electric cooling fan helps keep things in check and increase
engine power by deleting the original power-robbing mechanical fan.
C3 Corvette Roadsters are fun to drive and get the looks, and these
chrome bumper cars are the ones to have, as they are true to the
original design concept. This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette is for sale
in our Fort Lauderdale showroom and can be seen in greater detail
