Gateway Classic Cars of Scottsdale is happy to offer this racy 1967
Mercury Cougar for sale on consignment at our Arizona showroom,
located in North Phoenix. Although the name is iconic in Ford
folklore, the introduction of the Cougar in 1967 was simply
intended to give the Mercury division its own version of the Pony
Car. In the early years ('67 and '68) only a 2-door hardtop
body-style was offered and ours comes in just that form. Painted in
Red, this Cougar for sale has a split front fascia, hide away
headlights (currently stuck open), rear spoiler and vertically
slatted chrome trim on the taillights. 14" Magnum wheels all the
way around look fantastic on this '67 Mercury. The owner of this
vehicle states the car underwent a partial restoration less than 10
years ago and we have receipts for thousands of dollars to back
that up. The 302 CID engine block has been dressed up a bit with
Ford racing parts while an MSD ignition, aluminum radiator and
Holley 4bbl carburetor assist with performance. A rebuilt 4-speed
manual transmission gets this 1967 Mercury down the road and you'll
hear it coming with dual exhaust pipes! The interior of this Cougar
has been reupholstered with White vinyl and it's nice to see a
center console has been added giving the keeper some extra storage
and convenience space. A custom 3-spoke steering wheel sits in
front of stock gauges for speed, engine temperature and fuel level.
The dashboard itself is padded and features a retro-modern stereo
system as well as air conditioning controls that have been
integrated into the original controls. See yourself enjoying this
1967 Mercury Cougar yet?! Give our helpful and knowledgeable Sales
team a call at (623) 900-4884 before someone else does and we'll
put our eyes and ears on this classic ride for you. Alternatively,
