Gateway Classic Cars is excited to present this one owner 1971
Mercury Monterey two door coupe at our Milwaukee location. The
full-size Mercury Monterey was manufactured and marketed from
1952-1974. Taking its name from the famous Monterey Bay.
Eventually, being replaced by the Mercury Marquis. Over the
Monterey's twenty-two year run it served as the flagship in the
Mercury line-up. Marketed as their mid-range priced full size
model. This 7th generation 2-door Mercury Monterey was manufactured
from 1969-1974. Being sold in many variations including: 2-door,
4-door, convertible and station wagon models. In 1971, the Monterey
adopted many new design elements. Redesigned wide-pointing grille
and taillights were added to give it a new distinct modern style.
Most notable was the addition of frameless door glass, flush mount
door handles, and standardized rear fender skirts which gave the
1971 Mercury Monterey a fresh sleek look. One look at this 1971
Mercury Monterey and one will see the love this one owner car
received. Inside and out this car is in great condition. Our
Monterey is painted in a gorgeous dark brown with a matching vinyl
interior, all tastefully accented with a black vinyl roof. Under
the hood is a 400 CID V-8 (new for 1971) attached to a 3-speed
transmission. Options include power steering, power brakes, and an
AM/ 8-track radio. This 1971 Mercury Monterey is a true one owner
