This one might look like it is fresh from the field, but with only
5,000 miles on it since completion, this 1952 Ford F-1 is fresh
from its build. That kind of difference gives you the patina you
desire, but with plenty more comfort and a wallop of upgraded V8
power... and it is all for one heck of a price. The Ford F-1 is
arguably the best-looking post-war truck. While they all have a
basic industrial attractiveness, this one goes for the heart of the
truck lover. The patina blue is a masterpiece done by mother nature
herself. There are even some dings left in the execution for
authenticity. But take a closer look, and you'll discover quite a
solid body where the sheet metal is corrosion-free in all the main
places, including the cab corners. The patina bumpers, weathered
grille all help sell the image of a barn find (in fact, the real
wood in the truck bed looks like it was made from an old barn!) But
then you notice the subtle pinstriping. Plus, there is no mistaking
those custom blue deep-dish wheels that have been staggered
front/rear to aid in giving the lowered suspension an intimidating
stance. Oh yes, this is far more than just a well-weathered
machine. Inside the blue theme returns on the doors and dash but
with a nice new clean paint job. You will also notice the 56'
T-Bird steering wheel that gives the inside of the truck some extra
flair. You will also notice the big bench seat that is setup to fit
three across. Under the hood this truck continues to be secretly
rewarding. This is an upgraded V8 that looks like It belongs in a
show truck. The motor of choice for this rad truck is a Chevy 355
that was bored .30 over - so you get the easy upgradability of a GM
small block. This V8 makes solid power with its four-barrel
carburetor, and it is easy to drive anywhere with its aluminum
radiator and 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. In fact, this
truck was built for cruising. That is why its original frame was
painted black and the frame rails were boxed in and a X brace was
also added for additional strength to the original frame to make
this thing handle anything you throw at it. This F-1 is supporting
Ride Tech Coil-overs, four-wheel power disc brakes, and a four-link
set up; connected to a Ford 8.8 rear-end with 373 gear, TCI
independent front suspension with a mustang 2 setup, and power
steering. This is the cool patina you love in a fresh and
thoughtful build. So, when something this appealing is also so
affordable, you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call now!
