Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1961
Chevrolet Impala Bubbletop. 1961 saw the first year of the third
generation for the successful Impala. The new design was trimmer
and boxier than its predecessor. While there were a few different
trims for 1961 what we have here is the sport coupe which offered a
thin rear roof pillar and an oversized rear window. In time this is
what enthusiasts would come to call the bubbletop. Highly sought
after by collectors for their design and value, these specific
Impalas are easily identified and turn heads everywhere! This fine
example upon approach you are dazzled with light glinting off the
chrome and fresh silver paint. The stance of this car! The rims
with the red line tires really set the car off. No matter the
angle, front to back you can easily see the time and care that went
into the build. Under the hood 2 -4-barrel carbs sit atop a 409ci
V8 X-block from 1963. Mated to that is a Muncie 4-speed manual
transmission. Only 8 miles on it since it was finished! That is not
a typo. The build is extensive, here are some highlights: Solid
Lifter Cam, Ride Tech Suspension, Vintage Air, MSD Distributor,
Hooker Headers, Custom Exhaust, Aluminum Radiator, and Wilwood 6
piston 4-wheel disc brakes. And there is a lot more. All receipts
included, easily 100 of them in a case. This car was one of the few
that was roped off at the 2020 Street Rod Nationals! Solidifies the
caliber of car you are considering here. Options on this car
include: Air Conditioning, CD Player, Power Steering, Seat Belts,
and Aluminum Wheels. This 1961 Chevrolet Impala is for sale in our
