Vehicle Description
This 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 has a true vintage style everywhere you
look. It makes for a cool V8 hardtop classic that's also offered
for quite a nice price.
This represents a time when Ford was in-between the post-war
tailfin era and the brazen muscle cars. So the look has classic
elements like the big chrome bumpers, intricate hardtop details,
and jet-inspired taillights. But there just seems to be an added
sleekness in design, that told you a new era was just around the
corner. That's why this one has such an appealing total style. It
has a clean and complete look, right down to the badging and
full-length trim. The original white paint was traded in for a hue
close to 1963's Silver Moss, but the finish today still has aged-in
details that may make some people think it's the factory
application. So, in total, this shows a special kind of classic in
a highly authentic presentation.
While the Fairlane was positioned as the intermediate car in 1963,
by today's standards it can comfortably fit plenty of family and
friends across two wide rows of benches. There is a ton of vintage
style here with the artful steering wheel, full gauge package, and
a great pillar-less hardtop profile. Just like the exterior, the
condition here prioritizes a classic feeling. In fact, the only
upgrade you may recognize is the AM/FM/cassette radio. The value
price leaves room in your budget for
updating/upgrading/personalizing, but still, the white interior is
a stylish choice against the exterior's minty green (and the color
of the door tops and dash prove it.)
This was born an F-code coupe, and under the hood it still has the
optional 260 cubic-inch V8. It has been given some upgrades, like
the bright Ford valve covers, but overall, it retains the classic
style we've seen throughout the rest of this car. It was even
originally a Charlotte DSO car, and so nearly 60 years later, and
it's still selling out of its home territory! This was built to be
a cruiser, and so it has a two-speed automatic transmission and
power steering. Plus, the wheel upgrade allows you to fit a nice
set of modern and comfortable tires.
There's a great vintage style here that makes for an irresistible
classic today and a great base for you to add your personal touches
in the future. Call now!
