Chevrolet 6100 Dually. This 48 Chevy Dually has a well-done patina.
The actual model is a step-up from the 3100 and is a 6400-very few
are out there. TO limit any deterioration, the owners prepped the
entire truck and shot it with satin clear. The also replaced the
tock chassis with a Chevy crew cab 1 ton dually chassis wit custom
made mounts for the cad and front clip. As for the altitude
adjustments, they went with Michigan Metal Works upper and lower
front control arms, and an Extensive Metal Works 1 ton tow-link set
up, with pan hard bar and 2600lb Firestone bags on all four
corners. For the rear to go as low as it does a custom-built
C-notch was made for this truck. Since the truck can now sit on the
ground, time to start on the engine. This 3100 has a GM 6.0L Motor
(LS2) that is paired with a 4L80-E transmission. The 6.0 has a CVF
racing, compete front serpentine set up with 8 rib pulley's and
belt, Holley high rise intake, custom coil covers, new spark plugs
and wires, custom air intake with K&N air filer, and set of
stainless steel headers. The transmission has had fresh filter and
fluid. To keep this system cool they put in a new aluminum
radiator, with a 16-inch Spal electric fan. There is a 20-gallon
Poly tank and black AN6 fuel Line and fittings. The two-piece drive
haft was built to accommodate the 4L80-transmission and the 1-ton
rear end. All new wiring throughout the entire chassis, with red
top Optima Battery. Power steering box was professionally rebuilt.
Complete new brake system including master cylinder power booster,
brake lines, and new brake pads. The original wheels are in good
condition, which has been powder coated and then installed 6 new
Coker 7.00 R16 radial wide whites. For are management, they put in
the Airlift 3P system, 2 Viair compressors and a 5 gallon take with
3/8 airlines. This Chey also has new glass, weather stripping, and
window channels. The interior is Dakota Digital HDX gauges with BIM
module, tall Lokar shifter, custom seat and door panels, and new
steering column with a custom fabrication quick disconnect on the
original steering wheel. To finish off the truck off the also built
a custom flatbed to match the back of the cab, but still able to
clear the dually wheels and haul with it. New headliner, vintage
air AC, battery tender and Sheet metal fender. For more information
